Where is the Elf on the Shelf?!?

The Elf on the Shelf tradition started in our house two Christmas' ago, but really became a big part of the holiday season tradition last year. Our Elf came to us from our friend Ms. Amy.

Our Elf is named Bodie. He received his name from Cora and Daddy (the boy name he wanted desperately for Luke).
Each night he flies back to Santa and tells him all of the things he sees during the day. Every morning he is in a new place around the house.
As soon as Cora and Luke wake up they run around the house looking for him. It has been a nice way to get them out of bed in the morning.
Bodie also helps with behavior - if one of the kids is being bad I remind them that Bodie has to tell Santa what he sees so they better behave!!
I even heard Luke in the basement saying, "Sorry Bodie - it was an accident, I didn't mean to hit Cora." Not exactly the truth but at least he recognized what he did was wrong and may get him in trouble with Santa.
This is a fun tradition that we are enjoying. The magic of the holiday season is in this house for sure!!

(Bodie reads to himself sometimes!!)
