The night before Christmas we ate dinner by candle light, talked about how our Elf on the Shelf - Bodie would be leaving us, last minute thoughts about what Santa may bring, and headed outside to feed the Reindeer.
Cora and Luke's pre-school made some reindeer food and we put our headlights on and headed outside to sprinkle the food around. We talked about their favorite places in the back yard, places that the reindeer might like to visit while they were at our house. 
Cora picked the "fire pit" as her favorite place and Luke picked his "raspberry bushes" as his favorite place.
After we dumped the reindeer food out the kids ran around and played on the swing set and played a little soccer before Dave rounded them up and brought them inside. We thought a little cold night air and running around might help them get some of their excitement out before they went to bed. We needed them to fall asleep, there was a lot to be done and we didn't want them walking in on Santa when he came!!!
