Easter at Grammy's House. It was wonderful weather to compliment a wonderful weekend. The kids behaved and slept well which makes for happy parents. I slept with Cora in one room and Dave was the "LUCKY" one who slept with Luke in the basement. We worked hard at tiring the kids out so they would sleep well. Luke still wakes up in the middle of the night - he wakes up either from discomfort, fear of being alone, or nightmares. Whatever the reason we are often up with him in the middle of the night for about an hour. BUT on this trip he slept until around 5 am each day! This is an improvement that we were happy to take!!
After Easter Dinner with Dave's brother and their family we had an Egg Hunt.
I helped Luke look through his eggs to see what candy he received.
Grammy helped Cora look through her eggs.
Cousins together. Cora (2.75), Braylon (5), Trey (9), and Luke (1.5).
It was a very nice trip. We had a wonderful time - visited Dave's Uncle Walter who has been battling cancer for over 3 years. He truly enjoys seeing family and each visit is such a blessing.
We saw Dave's brother and his family. They have a new little one - Tatiana Nicole was born just over 1 month ago the youngest to older brothers Braylon and Trey. Cora was able to enjoy playing with her cousins and for the first time she wasn't afraid of her Uncle Mike and Aunt Dee (although Luke wanted nothing to do with them for the first couple hours of their visit and by the end of the visit he sat on Uncle Mike's lap to watch TV).
Grammy seemed to also have a nice time with her grandchildren - laughter resonated throughout the house through the whole visit!!
