Blizzard 2010 - Snowtorious BIG

The final totals are in. This storm was bigger then the December storm that came the week before Christmas. That storm had us out Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday before Christmas Break. School in Montgomery County has been canceled for Monday, Feb. 8 & Tuesday, Feb. 9 and in Washington County it is cancelled for Monday.
The sledding hill - down the road by our friends Todd and Kathy's house. Both kids are doing better when playing in the snow this Blizzard. The last Blizzard found them cranky when they started to get wet or happened to actually touch the snow. But with as much practice as they have had this year with snow they are able to stay outside longer and enjoy the events more.
There has been and will be plenty of time for playing in the snow. We usually go outside twice per day - once in the morning after it warms up a little and then again after lunch. We mostly crawl around the front yard. We have built a snowman and snow fort that even Daddy crawled through!!
Since Dave hasn't gotten out to go skiing much he has found a different way to have some fun!!
Family Portrait. This is how we load up to go sledding. All of us pile on the 4-wheeler and ride down the road.
It will be interesting to see how long it takes before we can go back to school/work. Unfortunately, with each additional day we are off is a possible day that we may have to work longer into the summer. But with it such a mess and a "State of Emergency" declared - there is a possibility that the days won't have to be made up!!
