Hockey in the hallway is one of the ways we entertain ourselves indoors during the winter. The kids still use their hockey sticks that they received at Christmas. They are getting pretty good at it. They don't really understand the concept of a "goal" or keeping "score."
If the ball hits the door or if it goes past Cora then they shout, "I win!"
We have taught them how to hold the sticks, how to stop the ball, how to swing properly - not going to high in the back or front swing. They try to follow our instructions but they quickly go into a free-for-all as they are having fun. I don't stop and correct them until it gets dangerous and Luke starts using his stick like an ax and chopping at the ball or Cora.
