During stretches she wouldn't go very far from her Daddy and a few tears dropped down her cheeks asking to go home. Dave told her that they were staying so she should go try to play with the other kids. She kept looking back to be sure that he was still there but managed to stay with the group. When they ran around the field she was the last one - dragging far behind to avoid contact with the others.
She is the second youngest kid in the class. The class has ages 4-7 and Cora isn't 4 yet, the youngest kid is the coaches son. The coaches daughter (pictures in the yellow shirt) Sara quickly became Cora's favorite. Cora told me that Sara said, "Step and throw," and "Great Job!" Cora LOVES Sara!!
The kids had ample time to practice each new skill and went through multiple drills. Dave said the coach did a great job of changing it up and keeping the kids moving. They did drills through cones, with partners, and attempting to score on the goal.
Cora came home full of energy and giggles telling me all about class and how she can't wait to go back next week. Dave said she is very silly when standing listening to instructions and has issues sometimes following directions because she is so easily distracted by everything but hey, what can you expect from a 3.5 year old?!?!

Yay, Cora! Charlie is so excited to do this one day with Freddie. We should seek out some "good" lacrosse here in the NE. The men's league in the south is more about drinking than lacrosse!
Seems like a big age range with the little ones involved. Good job, Cora. I'd have been a bit cautious as well.
