Christmas 2010 (Part I)

Merry Christmas!!
Santa came to our house (a day early) and brought the kids all of the things on their list!
Even my grumpy son Luke perked up to open presents and was laughing and excited!!
The unwrapping went well with the kids opening the presents and wanting to play with everything. They often looked at their sibling to see what he/she was "ooohhhh" and "aaaahhh"ing about. After all, with my kids so close in age almost every present is shared and equally used. Good for them and us when it comes to shopping!
They helped pick up the paper and tried keep the area hazard free. Many of the gifts elicited an, "It's my favorite!" response from Cora!
But the real favorite was an impulse buy for the kids. . . a set of nerf hockey sticks. Luke never wants to put it down!!
He constantly walks up to us, awkwardly carrying the hockey sticks and pucks and asks, "You come play hockey with me, mama [or daddy]?" and when the answer is yes he responds with a resounding, "YEAH!!" while running to the hockey hallway!

We didn't have long to play because just after our (early) Christmas morning we packed into the car and drove out to the Eastern Shore for Christmas Eve dinner with my parents and Christmas day with my family. . . see Part II for details!!
