WMRT

We went for a walk/run on the Western Maryland Rail Trail again this weekend.  The first picture was 7 months ago when Luke was just born. . . the second picture is from today.

Last time we went:
  • Cora cried about wanting "up" not wanting to walk or be in the stroller.
  • Luke was in the Bjorn.
  • Cora liked picking up sticks, rocks, bugs.
  • Luke needed to be changed (everything was back at the car).
  • Cora walked only 1/2 mile and was carried 1.5 miles.
  • Luke cried because he was hungry (again - everything was back in the car).

This time:
  • Cora ran over 1.5 miles and rode in the stroller 1/2 mile.
  • Luke rode in the stroller.
  • Cora carried sticks and rocks and pointed to the birds, squirrels, and anything else she can name.
  • Luke cried when the sun was in his eyes but soon fell asleep.
  • Cora sang songs and said hello to everyone she saw.
  • Luke ate a bottle that was packed in the stroller.

This time was much better, we were better prepared which made anything that arose a smaller issue.  Dave ran first while I walked with the kids then we traded places and I ran while he gave them a snack in picnic form on a nice blanket.  We are getting better at this whole "parenting" thing!!  Maybe someday soon we can feel like real people again and do more things we all enjoy!

Oh my. So there is no hope for me then. Think we'll pull off jazzfest with an 8 week old?
