Luke Turn's 3

Luke's official birthday is July 30, but he gets a week of birthday fun instead of just a day. Lots of people to celebrate with. First a little party with his cousins, then a little family party, and finally a little friend party. It is good to be Luke! Below is Luke opening presents with his cousins.
Luke loved his dinosaurs. He has some smaller models at home but was very excited about these bigger ones!
After dinner, he said, "You all sing Happy Birthday to ME!!" He has been talking about his birthday coming for a long time so this is just what he was waiting for!!
The next time to sing him Happy Birthday was at his little friend party. He only had a few friends over this year. The party was supposed to be at Greenbriar Lake but rain forced us to have it at home (it didn't rain for three weeks straight - until the day of his party). The party ended up being fine - our yard is big enough to hold everyone and keep the kids entertained!
With the cupcakes was the ice cream sundea bar, always a highlight of the party!
The next day we opened presents. Both Luke and Cora are a little shy so allowing them to open the presents at their own pace by themselves has prevented crying and allows them to appreciate each present instead of it being a blur...
Luke's presents were "Thomas the Train" based this year. He loves his new trains and all of the accessories. This flashlight has gone with him everywhere and even to bed with him!
Luke doesn't take anything seriously - including opening presents, his laughter is contagious and the tissue paper brought him as much entertainment as the presents. I am a serious person and it is hard for me not to correct him and make him "pay attention." But Dave often reminds me to leave him alone and soon I find myself laughing along side of him.
I know he enjoyed the attention of his birthday and loved all of his presents. Thank you to everyone who gave him presents - he has spent a lot of time with them and is enjoying every minute!
