Cora and Luke's friend Graham had his 4th Birthday Party at a Nature Center in Walkersville, MD.The kids sat through a show of animal skins, amphibians, insects, and snakes (I think that was all of them, I was paying attention!).
Cora and Luke both actually pet the tarantula!! I backed up after the hissing cockroach came out. Too many bad memories from living in New Orleans of cockroaches!!!
The birthday boy Graham (above taking pictures) was very excited about everyone at the party, running around, feeding the fish and turtles, the playground, and his cake. It is great to turn 4!!! Big sister Maeve (below) is petting a toad!
Luke also took a try at petting the toad and even got a chance to hold it. He LOVED all that he saw at this party. We listened to him talk about it non-stop!
He is just like his daddy, not afraid to touch anything! He couldn't wait to hold the snake - this is something that he will not soon forget!
Even Ms. Amy got in on the fun. Lucky for everyone that this snake was hatched from an egg and has live in captivity for his entire life - very friendly snake!
After the inside show we got to feed the fish and turtles. The kids loved seeing the turtles and fish fight over the food. Cora was very concerned that the fish were "being mean" to the "little baby turtles."
A very fun and creative party. Happy 4th Birthday Graham!!
