The carnival season is in full swing and just about any night of the summer you can find a carnival in one of the neighboring towns. The Mon Alto Carnival is one we tried and enjoyed two years ago.Last time Cora rode on three rides and was ready to go home, this time we purchases the unlimited rides pass ($18.00) for each of them and we were there for a few hours.
They do the adorable kid thing where they wave almost every time they go by.
The airplane ride was difficult to explain, pull in to go up and push out to go down. Not an easy concept for these two.
The slide that brought terror and screams two years ago had Cora begging to do it again and again. MOMMY was scared to death to let her little kids march up the stairs and get on the slide without me there to help them but Dave was sure, "they will be fine." I couldn't watch the first time I was so scared.
There were giggles and laughter that permeated the air and made the evening a fun night.
Even when it was way past their bedtime and we gave them the "three more rides" warning they still didn't want to leave and we carried both kids out with tears. A lollipop was a quick fix for that an they both barely made it home before falling asleep.
It is a very nice carnival. Not too crowded, often the kids ran off of one ride and jumped onto another. The teenagers in the area were well behaved, we left at dusk so who knows what happened next but the language and cigarette smoke that can often ruin a nice evening was not there. We may go back again before the carnival closes!?!? :-)
