The family jumped in the car on the spur of the moment and went to the Mon Alto Carnival. We arrived to eat some dinner and walk around a bit before the rides opened up. Cora was SO EXCITED about the rides - she was very upset that they were not ready for her to get on.
Finally, they were open and she was ready - she rode on the boat ride - loved it. . .
. . . then the second ride, the turtles - it was three laps into the ride that she started screaming and they had to stop the ride so she could get off!!! Oh well, she was scared of the people looking at her, that she couldn't see mommy and daddy, and the noise.
Next, we tried the merry-go-round - she enjoyed it for about 10 laps . . . but then wanted "UP!!"
The last thing we tried was the big slide. . . she was so excited that she was trying to run up the stairs but quickly became upset at how fast the slide was!!
Luke mostly rode around in the stroller smiling, waving, and saying, "HI!" . . . but he did get out to walk up to all strangers and "talk to them" as well as eat some pizza!!
So no more rides for Cora but we did let her play a few carnival games. She went fishing and also played skee ball. Those were more her style this year!!
Next week there is the Smithsburg Carnival - we will try again and see how she does!!
