Germantown Playground and SplashPark

On Friday 6/10 we drove down to Germantown with Ms. Amy, Carrie, Atlee, Cora, Luke, and I to meet up with our friend Ms. Chrissy and Abby (Hannah was at school). Ms. Chrissy is moving so we had to have one last visit to say good-bye before she left. (Chrissy, Amy, and I were pregnant at the same time and all have little 4 year olds.)
We went to the amazing South Germantown Recreational Park in Germantown, Maryland (about one hour South-East of Hagerstown).
The park is huge and has multiple playgrounds one of which is shaped like a castle with many pathways and pieces of equipment.
The kids had a lot of fun running through the castle's many obstacle's and slides.
Once things got too hot they quickly found a way to cool off in the shade. This tree kept them as busy as the playground did.None of the kids were able to get to the top, but the challenge to see who could get the highest was enough to keep them occupied. Unique swings had them confused if they were supposed to go back and forth or side to side.
Were supposed to go the the SplashPark. Unfortunately, the SplashPark is not open during the week until Monday 6/13... so we had 4 crying children. Once again, a quick adjustment to the plans and another one hour drive had us back in Hagerstown at Monkey Joes's Bounce Place.

The kids stopped crying when we told them where we were going and even celebrated when we told them they would get some ice cream at Monkey Joe's.
Another fun summer adventure.
