This weekend we went to Jumbo's in Middletown on Saturday morning.
The kids rode on old tractors. Sharing the driving responsibilities as they took turns pushing and pulling the levers.
Some of the many animals on the farm included alpacas, pigs, cows, goats, horses, sheep, and dogs. The kids love to run between the animals Cora saying, "Aww, how cute" and Luke trying to climb into each and every enclosure.
The kids went for a little pony ride. This was Luke's first time by himself. He looked back to see where mom and dad were but he didn't fuss or cry (which is a big deal because he seems to be attached to us at almost all times these days).
Cora did great, she was waving and smiling. She isn't scared at all anymore.
After the ride the kids wanted to meet the other horse, the one that was resting when they went for a ride. They stayed here talking to this horse for twice as long as their ride was. Maybe next time we keep the $4 per kid and let them chat instead ;-)
There was also face painting but only Cora got her face painted while Luke ran around eating popcorn
. . .and lastly time spent looking at pumpkins.
Another beautiful day. The kids slept well and Mommy and Daddy had time to do chores around the house (which included Daddy spraying the outside of the house with strong chemicals in hopes of giving us a break from these "DARN" stink bugs)!!
