This is the second year we attended the Fall Festival @ White Tail Ski Resort. Last year the views of the the mountain Fall leaves were prettier but this year the kids got to run around and enjoy more.

They really enjoyed the obstacle course on the "bunny hill" that started with a ride up the "Magic Carpet" ski lift and included running through tunnels and mazes.
Horse back riding went great for Cora but Luke didn't seem to like it this time. He may have been a little cranky because he didn't catch any fish in the fishing pond.
The kids climbed all through the snow plow (trail groomer) machine. It was hard to get Luke out, actually had to climb in and get him!!
Fishing was fun as always. Cora followed the rules by fishing "normally" while Luke tried to stab the fish with the fishing pole!!!
The favorite of the day was the train ride, kids rode it at least 5x and wanted to ride it more. There was also music, lumber jack competitions, yummy food and ice cream, animal petting areas, archery, paintball, haunted house, moon bounce, and rides up and down the mountain on the ski lifts.
It was a wonderful day. The kids didn't get a nap but managed to behave most of the day. It helped that my mom (the kids Gigi) was here visiting and keeping them behaving!! Luke and Gigi shared pumpkin ice cream and Cora held Gigi's had much of the day. This was a great day for Dave because the family got their ski passes!! I know how excited he is about this year, I even got myself new ski pants and a ski coat!!
Gigi's visit included babysitting Friday night so Dave and I could attend another very fun wedding. The kids were "well behaved" according to Gigi and "compared to Gwen's (my sister) twins - a piece of cake." ;-) So it was an enjoyable day and weekend!!
(Maybe I can get my voice back for the week?!?!)
