Due to Luke ending the summer with a cast on his leg we decided to take advantage of the nice weather and spend one last day at the beach - cast free. We went to visit my parents in Princess Anne, Maryland and Ocean City is only one hour away.
When we drove down to Ocean City we weren't sure what to expect so we had . . .no expectations. Not sure if we would spend time walking on the board walk or eating junk food or playing on the carnival rides we parked down at the very end of the boardwalk and decided to see what the kids wanted to do. We walked past the rides and the kids ogled the junk food, candy apples, popcorn, funnel cakes and many other heart stopping foods but when Luke saw the birds walking on the sand he took off and there was no turning back.
My sister and her family came along and all the kids and adults had a wonderful time.
Uncle Jay, Landon, Molly, Auntie Gwen, and Andrew
The beach it was!!! We spent 5 hours on the beach playing,
building sand castles,
running from and playing in the waves,
chasing the birds. It was a GREAT DAY!!!!!
I am so happy my kids love the beach as much as I do!! They don't mind when sand gets in their mouth or in their food (junk food on the beach - what could be better?!?).
I am already looking forward to next summer and spending as much time as possible at the beach!!!
Summer 2011 here we come!!!
