Carrie's birthday party is always a post-Halloween event. Kids get one last chance to wear a costume and celebrate. This year the party was at a roller skating rink. After many years of roller skating parties in my childhood I was excited for the kids to go to their first skating party.Cora's regular costume would have been too long so she decided TinkerBell would be a good replacement.
Unfortunately, neither of my children are natural skaters. They had a LOT of trouble with skating!!Luke only made it around the oval about 4 times. He spent much of the time on his bottom and taking breaks!! He laughed and enjoyed himself but he was really frustrated not to be able to go faster like the bigger kids.
His costume was getting in the way - which is why I wore the hat for a little while. Cora was able to walk her way around the rink if she went very slowly. I know it is just a matter of time spent skating to make them better so we will have to spend some weekend time here this winter.
Carrie and her long lost best friend CJ were inseperable!! She had a smile on her face most of her party. Turning 7 looks good on her!!!
Cora and Atlee are continual silly gooses!!! Life is fun for these four year olds!!!
Unfortunately, since Atlee is almost an expert skater - she and Cora only hung out while eating.
Happy 7th Birthday Carrie!!!
