Gigi and Grandad (Erin's mom and dad) came to visit for Cora's Birthday. Grandad also had to finish the garden he started for us about four weeks back.
Gigi was an amazing help to me before, during, and after the party as well as around the house through the weekend. She also spent a lot of time with the kids allowing Erin to get ready for the party.
Grandad worked hard putting the garden together and also playing with the kids.

The watering system is slightly complicated. . . . good thing Grandad knows which goes where?!?! :-)
Here is the final garden. We are going to TRY VERY HARD to keep these plants alive and the weeds down. We are going to have to make a GOOD EFFORT to make sure these plants survive!! There is no reason it should fail - Grandad basically "idiot proofed" it for us!!
I will keep everyone up to date on how this turns out!! :-)
Below is how the peas planted last month are looking - we didn't loose too many to the surprise May frost we had.
Lastly, Grandad built a sandbox for both sets of his grandkids. It is a good thing he brought it for her birthday because she has been asking for a sandbox for weeks!!
All it needs is the sand!! Love the cover to keep the critters out!!
